Through the Eyes of John Smith

This adventure was an awesome experience. Discussion of the Chester River put you back in time. I am tremendously thankful for Dr. Seidel and his wife along with the rest of the crew of the Callinectes for providing so much knowledge about the Chester River and its history. I am also thankful for the maps and the materials that I can use in my classroom. I will be able to use the maps that John Smith produced during my discussions of the first settlers to the "New World" with my fifth graders. They will be able to understand what John Smith saw through his own drawings of the land.
